The vampire is the fourth-level creature of the Necropolis in Heroes of Might and Magic V . The No Enemy Retaliation ability means there is little reason not to attack every round, and Life Drain makes it far easier to end most combats with as many vampires as the player started with. The vampire is best used aggressively.
For other uses, see Defense (disambiguation). Defense is a skill in Heroes of Might and Magic V. It decreases the melee damage dealt to the hero's creatures. The biggest differences as I see them are the skill system is far different not only haveing basic skills but perks as well and you can have fewer of them. The way mana is regenerated is now 1 point per knowledge per day. The combat is different with the initiative system, so some creatures move more times than others.
ToTE is my favorite game but the RMG sucks ass in heroes 5, thus replayability is very bad compared to heroes 3. Heroes 3 is only alive because the RMG is so good and the templates that have been created for it are balanced.

Creature types vary from faction to faction, but follow a fairly general path (level 1 creatures are weak, level 2 slightly better, all the way up to level 5 'elite' creatures). Castle types are also built up in a similar manner but with certain unique twists. For instance, certain factions might have more warrior based heros vs magic based.
5.Magog-Sometimes the fireball attack is really good however sometimes it forces you to attack something else then you normally would. 6.Obsidian Gargoyle-Fast flying Unliving unit 7.Battle Dwarf- Tanky and impressive magic resistance but slow 8.Zombie-A slower weaker version of Battle Dwarf Level 3 1. Grand Elves: Shoots twice - auto win 2.
Improvement-3) The skill system of Heroes VII is arguably better than that of Heroes III HD. Some skills are far better than others and by being able to pick skills you often end up with a few hero builds that are used over and over. On the other hand Heroes III HD also suffered from some skills being better than others.
